Consultation Recorder
The consultation recorder is the core of Quicka Health. It captures your clinical conversations and generates structured notes in real-time.
Starting a Recording
- From the dashboard, click New Consultation
- Select the patient from your patient list or create a new record
- Click the Record button — you'll see a live waveform indicating the microphone is active
- Conduct your consultation as normal

Always obtain patient consent before recording. Quicka Health provides a consent prompt at the start of each recording.
During the Session
While recording, Quicka Health:
- Displays a live transcript of the conversation
- Provides real-time clinical guidance for early-career clinicians (if enabled)
- Tracks session duration
You can pause and resume the recording if needed — for example, during a physical examination.
After the Session
When you click Stop, Quicka Health processes the recording and generates:
- Clinical notes in your preferred format (SOAP, DAP, or narrative)
- Treatment plan updates based on the discussion
- Follow-up actions and recommendations
- Referral suggestions if mentioned during the session
Reviewing Notes
Generated notes appear in the review panel. You can:
- Edit any section before approving
- Switch between note formats
- Add or remove sections
- Flag items for supervisor review
Once approved, notes can be pushed to your practice management system with one click.
Tips for Best Results
- Use a quality microphone — built-in laptop mics work, but a headset or desk mic gives better results
- Minimise background noise
- Speak clearly and at a natural pace
- Refer to clinical terms as you normally would — the AI understands medical terminology
